Description:: 4E65 Mossend - South Bank Tees Dock was declared a bust just before Carfin, blocking the line for 2Y52 Glasgow Central - Edinburgh, causing it to divert via Motherwell and Carstairs and consequently miss out 11 of its 19 scheduled stops. Rescue loco 66091 was dispatched from Motherwell TMD to drag the failed train back to Mossend, where it was subsequently canned. Seen travelling at reduced speed crossing the points just before Holytown station, with a very filthy 66427 just out of sight at the rear. (18/12/2022)
