Description:: Noticed recently that at both ends of the platform this metal gate has appeared. The same has appeared at the other end where there was a wooden fence as the platform there actually extends much further. As most (or maybe all?) of the Oban Line platforms now have the yellow raised slabs running inside of the platform edge slabs I can only think it's designed to stop visually impaired people walking off the platform ends? However, not really sure if that's it's purpose as there are no signs of anything similar at other stations on the line.
