Description:: Dug out this old pic of Glasgow Queen St Low Level being gutted in preparation for the new electric services. There used to be 4 platforms at one time,the ones used now only being for slower trains which would sit and wait for faster trains using the centre island platforms to pass. This shot is looking towards Charing Cross and is taken from the island platform looking at what is now the Westbound platform.Originally a wall was built in the centre and it was impossible to see the other side.Part of it is away now of course so you can now wave to the folk across opposite
